Workshops

“Intimate attachments to other human beings are the hub around which a person’s life revolves, not only as an infant or a toddler or a schoolchild but throughout adolescence and years of maturity as well, and on into old age. From these intimate attachments a person draws strength and enjoyment of life and, through what he contributes, gives strength and enjoyment to others. These are matters about which current science and traditional wisdom are at one.”

 – John Bowlby

Thanks to the work by John Bowlby and Mary Ainsworth, we understand the importance of developing safe and attuned early attachment relationships. The difficulty we all face is that we are not born with an innate understanding of how to achieve this. We don’t enter this world with an ability to identify, understand and express what we need in relationships, nor do this for others.

The Circle of Security Parenting program is a transformative journey towards fostering strong, secure attachments between you and your child. This program is more than just a workshop; it’s a roadmap for nurturing your child’s emotional well-being while deepening your connection with them.

At its core, the Circle of Security approach is grounded in decades of research on child development and attachment theory. It provides a framework to understand your child’s emotional needs and behaviors, empowering you to respond with sensitivity and warmth.

Throughout the program, you’ll embark on a journey of self-discovery as you explore your own attachment patterns and how they influence your parenting style. Uniquely, we draw on elements of Schema Therapy to identify your own patterns, and understand how this might interact with your child. You’ll learn to recognise and understand your child’s cues and signals, strengthening your ability to provide a safe and secure base from which they can explore the world.

Our workshops are interactive and supportive, creating a space for meaningful discussions and insights. You’ll gain practical tools and strategies to navigate the ups and downs of parenting with confidence and compassion. From managing challenging behaviors to enhancing communication, the Circle of Security Parenting Program equips you with the skills to nurture a loving and secure relationship with your child.

But perhaps the most profound aspect of this program is the sense of community it fosters. You’ll connect with other parents who share similar joys and struggles, forming a supportive network that extends beyond the workshop sessions.

Join us on this journey of growth and connection. Whether you’re a new parent navigating the early stages of parenthood or looking to strengthen your bond with your child, the Circle of Security Parenting Program is here to support you every step of the way. Together, let’s create a foundation of love and security that will last a lifetime.
